Privacy Policy

VisiCharts ("we", "us", "our") operates visicharts.com. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it. We do not sell your data to anyone.

Account information. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We store these to identify your account.

CSV data you upload. Files you upload are stored in our database so we can display your saved presentations. We may also review uploaded data and generated presentations internally to understand how the product is used and to improve its quality. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties, and we do not use it to train AI models.

Usage analytics. If you consent, we collect anonymised product usage events (e.g. "CSV uploaded", "presentation saved") via PostHog to understand how the product is used and improve it. No analytics data is collected before you give consent.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We store only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.

• To send transactional emails (e.g. receipts) via Stripe — we do not send marketing emails
• To analyse product usage and fix bugs (only with your consent)
• To review uploaded data and presentations internally to improve product quality and AI output

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in (via NextAuth). If you consent to analytics, PostHog sets additional cookies to track usage across sessions. Your cookie consent preference is stored in your browser's local storage under the key vc_cookie_consent.

You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser's local storage or contacting us.

• Google OAuth — authentication only; governed by Google's Privacy Policy
• Stripe — payment processing; governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy
• PostHog — product analytics (only with consent); governed by PostHog's Privacy Policy
• OpenAI — AI chart generation; your CSV data is sent to OpenAI to generate chart configurations. It is subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy

Your account data and presentations are retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is permanently deleted within 30 days.

Depending on your location you may have rights under GDPR, CCPA, or similar laws, including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below and we will respond within 30 days.

VisiCharts is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
